How are your prices lower than most Ontario agencies?
You work directly with the senior developer who designs, builds and launches your project. There is no account manager, project manager or office overhead in the price, and nothing gets lost in hand-offs. You get agency-level quality with one accountable person who knows every line of your site.
How do you deliver in weeks rather than months?
A proven process and a lot of practice. Every project follows the same five steps, starts from battle-tested foundations for accessibility, SEO, performance and security, and is built by one person who does not need to wait on a team. A full swim-lesson booking platform with accounts, payments and an admin panel shipped in two months; a province-wide non-profit directory in one. The timelines include research, design, testing and documentation, not just development.
What do I actually get for the price?
A custom design built around your customers, a fast and accessible site or app, the search-engine setup most builders skip, written documentation, thirty days of post-launch fixes, and full ownership of the code and accounts. No templates shared with a hundred other businesses, and no plugin subscriptions to keep paying for.
Do I have to use a particular technology?
No. I have a go-to modern stack that produces fast, secure, easy-to-maintain sites, and it is what I reach for by default. If you or your team already have a preferred platform or framework, I build with that instead. Either way you get clean, documented code that any developer can take over.
What happens if my project needs more than the package includes?
The discovery call and written scope catch most of this before we start, so the quote you approve is the price you pay. If your needs grow mid-project, I quote the extra work up front and only proceed with your approval. No surprise invoices.
Do I need a care plan?
No. Every project includes thirty days of fixes, and you own the code outright. Care plans are for owners who would rather have updates, hosting, backups and monitoring handled for them, or who want a standing block of hours so changes happen the same week they are requested.
What do you need from me to start?
A rough idea of what the site or app should do, any existing branding, and someone who can answer questions and approve designs. I guide the rest, including copywriting and imagery if you need help there.
Do you work with clients outside Cambridge and Kitchener-Waterloo?
Yes. I meet local clients in Cambridge, Kitchener-Waterloo and Guelph in person when it helps, and work with clients across Ontario, the rest of Canada and the US over video calls, with the same weekly updates and staging links either way.
Who owns the website or app when it is done?
You do. On final payment the source code, design files, domain and hosting accounts are yours, with documentation so any developer can pick it up. I ask only for permission to show the work in my portfolio.
